FARGO – Former North Dakota Sen. Byron Dorgan will stop by his alma mater tomorrow to teach a political science class and check on the future site for his congressional papers.
University of North Dakota officials announced the visit today. Dorgan will speak to a state and local government course in the morning, before touring UND’s Special Collections library in the afternoon.
Dorgan announced in December that he’d be donating his 30 years’ worth of congressional papers to UND. The transfer of the collection – dubbed The Byron L. Dorgan Papers – is underway and should be complete by later this summer, UND officials said.
