FARGO – The commander of the Army Corps of Engineers’ Mississippi Valley Division will join North Dakota Sen. John Hoeven this week in touring the progress of flood preparation efforts in Devils Lake and Fargo.

Tomorrow, Brig. Gen. Michael Walsh and Hoeven will attend a state flood coordination meeting in Devils Lake. Afterward, they’ll also review the Army Corps’ progress on enhancing the levee at Devils Lake.

On Thursday, the officials will attend a flood coordination meeting in Fargo-Moorhead, along with local leaders and Rep. Rick Berg. Later that morning, Hoeven and Walsh will also tour mitigation projects along the Red River.

Hoeven was in Fargo-Moorhead just last week to tour similar projects on a visit with Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar.
