FARGO – The political arm of the National Rifle Association is throwing its weight behind Republican Senate candidate and North Dakota Gov. John Hoeven.
“John Hoeven’s steadfast commitment to preserving our Second Amendment freedoms and hunting heritage has earned him the NRA-PVF endorsement,” Chris W. Cox, chairman of National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund, said in a statement from the Hoeven campaign. “As a U.S. Senator, I’m confident that Governor Hoeven will continue to fight for the Second Amendment rights of all law-abiding gun owners in North Dakota and across the country.”
Cox praised Hoeven for his work as governor, in which he signed into law several pro-gun bills and approved hunting programs.
